KesselsKramer — Digital Platforms & Campaign Extensions

Translating distinctive creative thinking into pioneering digital experiences.

Context

KesselsKramer is known for its unconventional, provocative and internationally recognised approach to advertising. The challenge across multiple projects was to translate this singular creative voice into digital platforms and campaign extensions that were as bold and original as the agency’s work itself.

Approach & Work

Hans Brinker Budget Hotel — Digital World & Campaign Production
As part of the globally acclaimed, award-winning campaign by KesselsKramer, the digital world of the Hans Brinker Budget Hotel was developed. The project included the creation and development of the website, alongside the production of three television commercials.
Design by Anthony Burrill and Bart Overes.

KesselsKramer — Agency Website

The new KesselsKramer website expressed the agency’s story in its own distinctive, irreverent tone. Statements such as “Shopping is a religion” were embedded throughout the site. Fully developed in Flash at the time, the website was as pioneering in its execution as the agency was in its creative output. KesselsKramer had previously been named Agency of the Year 1999.

Save the Bug! — Campaign Website

Developed in collaboration with KesselsKramer, Save the Bug! had a clear and playful mission: to prevent the total eradication of the millennium bug at the end of 1999. To support this idea, the KesselsKramer Foundation for the Prevention of Cruelty to Millennium Bugs (KKFPCMB) was introduced as part of the campaign narrative.

Impact

Across these projects, digital platforms were used not as neutral containers, but as integral parts of the creative idea. Each website functioned as an extension of KesselsKramer’s unmistakable voice — provocative, humorous and concept-driven — reinforcing the agency’s reputation for work that challenges conventions and stands out internationally.
