VR Assessment – Van der Maes & Koch, Eelloo & Slim Assessments
The clients — Van der Maes & Koch, Eelloo, and Slim Assessments, experts in assessment and behavioral psychology — wanted to take an innovative step in their field. Their goal: to develop a hyper-realistic, virtual reality–based Situational Judgement Test (SJT) that would require candidates to make real decisions under pressure. The result had to be an immersive experience that was both scientifically grounded and technologically advanced.
MTVR took full creative and production lead on this VR assessment. We translated the psychological framework designed by Van der Maes & Koch into a series of credible workplace situations, all filmed in 360° video.
Our Role
The production took place on location, with a strong focus on realism. The behavior of the co-actors, the visual cues in each setting, and the structure of the situations were carefully designed to trigger authentic behavioral responses from the candidate.
Result
The final product is an innovative VR assessment that stands in sharp contrast to traditional questionnaires or multiple-choice tests. Candidates now face a lifelike experience where they must make decisions under pressure — just as they would in real working environments.

The VR assessment was officially introduced during the Assessment Tech Event 2018. We provided full video coverage of the event and produced a highlight compilation for both attendees and those who missed it.
